The last three days of Speedway at the Royale took place on the 18th April 1996, which was the official Press or Media day for the second last meeting on Saturday the 20th April 1996 and the very last ever meeting at this historic site on the 27th April 1996.
Present on the Media Day were Solos, Sidecars , Modern and Vintage Speedcars.
On the programme for the 20-4-96 were Solos , Sidecars and the running of the 46th Australian Grand Prix for Speedcars
On the programme for the 27-4-96 were Solos, Sidecars, Vintage Speedcars and the running of the World Derby for Speedcars.

On the infield with their trusty cameras on the Press day were Marilyn Brewer and her father, the Legend, Frank "Satan" Brewer. The famous Members Stand is in the background.
Husband and wife Sidecar team, Geoff and Wendy Rowe were part of the representation of the sidecars on the 18th.

Adam Clarke runs through the Bullpens turn on the 18th.
Americans Jay Drake , left, and George Ito , right, had their first look at the Royale circuit on the 18th and thought it was " awfully narrow"
