Saturday the 20th saw the old format return to the Royale after some 40 odd years. Solos, Sidecars and Speedcars were on the programme and it was the running of the 46th Australian Grand Prix.
The fabulous Chris Watson made an appearance at the Royale.
Scott Fisher and Craig Watson run onto the starting straight.
Graham Gallagher, a VSA member was selected to drive his ex Bob Tattersall Valvoline Offenhauser # 35 as Pole Car for the 46th Australian Grand Prix.
Adam Clarke blows an engine on the back straight.
Warrenne Ekins of the N.T. leads American Jay Drake past the famous Sydney Showground pits on turns 3 & 4.
Craig Brady leads Warrenne Ekins and Michael Kendall past the pits.
Next time around Brady in 71 and Kendall in 81 were banging wheels.

American Jay Drake in the Woods Fontana  USA1. Jay broke the Showground 1 lap record on the 20th. He stopped the clock at 16.876 seconds.
